Little Saints Preschool Program

South Hills Catholic Academy (SHCA) offers both full-day and half-day preschool for 4 year olds.  Children must be 4 years old on or before September 1st of the year of enrollment .

SHCA Little Saints Preschool Program Tuition Rates

Full Day Preschool Program Tuition Cost $5,000*
Half Day Preschool Program Tuition Cost $2,500**

*To assist with the fundraising goals of the school, each family of a full-day preschool student is also required to raise $500 by participating in the Family Share fundraising program.  

**To assist with the fundraising goals of the school, each family of a half-day preschool student is also required to raise $250 by participating in the Family Share fundraising program.  


SHCA Little Saints Preschool Program Hours Of Operation

Full Day:  8:30 am - 2:50 pm
Half Day:  8:30 am - 11:30 am

All preschool students must be fully potty trained.

Our full-day program offers children abundant opportunities for learning, play, and exploration. Children will participate in age-appropriate daily prayer and begin to explore the Catholic Faith. Children will be expected to develop their cognitive, social and emotional skills and learn by doing. Each child will emerge from the program enthusiastic about learning and ready to enter Kindergarten. 

Each day provides time for structured play as well as oral language development, thematic instruction (instruction that combines drawing and reading skills to focus on one theme, like the family), and cognitive and social development. Children will be able to work and play in small and large groups, both inside the classroom and outdoors.

Children will have a nutritious lunch, a rest period during the afternoon, and snacks. The full-day program meets Monday through Friday and follows the school day schedule and the K-8 calendar of South Hills Catholic Academy.

Our half-day program offers the same opportunities for learning and play as the full-day program.

As with the full-day program, children will begin to develop a life-long love of learning, get ready for Kindergarten, and build their cognitive, emotional and social skills. Each day provides the same types of instruction as the full-day program.

Classroom activities will focus on language development, thematic instruction (instruction that combines drawing and reading skills to focus on one theme, like the family), and cognitive and social development. Children can expect to work and play in both small and large groups, both inside the classroom and outdoors.

The half-day program for 4 year olds meets Monday through Friday and follows the school day schedule and the K-8 calendar of South Hills Catholic Academy. The students in the half-day program for 4 year olds depart when the full-day program students go to lunch.
